BEST & BRIGHTEST YOUNG LEADERS IN THE SOUTH JERSEY REGION

With over 25 years experience in teaching golf and managing golf courses, Petronis has helped more people learn & enjoy golf than any other Golf Professional in and surrounding the South Jersey region by far. He has turned out more Golf Professionals, Teaching Professionals, & College Players than anyone around the South Jersey & Philadelphia Region.

Even though he is known for his Junior Golf work, he actually works with more adults than kids. It's just that he teaches more kids than anyone. In his teaching, his methods are very traditional with modern golf swing advancements based around what the best players in the world are doing.

Besides his modern golf swing advancement methods, he uses the latest in technology including a FlightScope Launch Monitor, V1 Golf Swing Video Software Apps, K-Vest 3D Analysis and more. He also works closely with TPI Certified Fitness Trainers to make sure his athletes have the best performance offerings.

To help you understand the impact that Petronis has had on NJ Golfers, since 2008, he was named as Top 5 Golf Instructors in NJ by GolfStyles' Magazine, #3 since 2013 and #2 in 2015. In 2010, he was awarded Top 40 Under 40 Best & Brightest Young Business Leaders in the Greater AC Region. And in 2005, 2006, & 2011 he was awarded the Philadelphia PGA Section's Jr. Golf Leader Award (all PGA Golf Professionals in NJ from Trenton South, Pennsylvania from Harrisburg thru Philadelphia, all of Delaware, and most of Maryland.

Word of mouth has been Petronis' best form of advertising; however, he has the success stories and awards from his colleagues and peers to prove his expertise.

PGA Golf Professional John Petronis entered the golf business on January 1st, 1993 in Naples, FL. It was at Quail West CC where he started his PGA Apprenticeship and gave his first golf lesson. From 1993 through 1995, he also trained at the David Leadbetter Academy to expand his knowledge of the golf swing. He then continued his apprenticeship at Galloway National under the mentorship of the PGA's Past President Dick Smith. After Galloway, Petronis moved on to Sand Barrens under the mentorship of Colorodo's PGA Section Past Vice President Alden Richards.

His next management position was the Pines at Clermont where, in 2000, Petronis had a lot of demand for his rising juniors to showcase their talents. He founded the Cape May County Jr. Golf Foundation, non-profit 501c3 and its Cape Jr. Golf Tour to create a stage for them to showcase their talents. His expertise & reputation landed him the PGA Director of Golf position at Cape May National GC where he mentored under legendary golfer Skee Riegel.

After a successful career in managing golf courses combined with training the best golfers in the Southern NJ Region, it was now time for Petronis to venture out on his own and put his vision & experience to a higher use. He then founded the JGA Golf Academy & Fitting Center in 2005, shortly after creating the Junior Golfers' Association of America, non-profit 501c3 & the JGA Tour.

With a dedication for helping kids all over the region with their college recruitment, he then founded the JGA College Recruitment Services. He has helped kids of Intermediate & Advanced skill levels achieve a scholarship and believes that there is a right fit for everyone who wants to play college golf.

In 2015, Petronis went back into managing golf courses as the PGA Head Golf Professional at Greate Bay Country Club in Somers Point, NJ. He brought his JGA Golf Academy, JGA Tour, & JGA College Golf Recruitment offices to Greate Bay and hired assistants to help him manage the events.
